Festival to kick off in Armenia on May 27

ArmInfo. This year the festival <Crossroads:  Contemporary Music Days in Armenia> will be held from May 27 to June 9.  As reported by the press service of the Festival  organizers, the program of events this year includes concert evenings  with the participation of young performers, as well as public  discussions, seminars and master classes.

The festival will start on May 26, at 16:00, at the Yerevan State  Conservatory named after Komitas and will feature  the world premiere  of a composition by Ukrainian composer Karmella Tsepkolenko as part  of the cycle <Portrait of a Composer>.  Recall that this year the  festival <Crossroads> is supported by the Ernst von Siemens  Foundation. <This fact not only attests to the high professional  level of the festival, but  also makes an important contribution to  the presentation of contemporary Armenian music in the international  arena>, the statement says.
