ArmInfo. Land plots with an area of 8.5 hectares in the Alvank settlement of the Meghri community in the Syunik region of Armenia were alienated through fictitious auctions. The prosecutor filed a lawsuit in the competent court to invalidate the auctions, the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office reported.
Auctions for 10 land plots with an area of 8.53622 hectares in the Alvank settlement of the Meghri community were fictitious, on the basis of which the above-mentioned land plots were seized from the community's property fund in violation of the procedure established by law. This fact was confirmed by the verdict in the criminal case considered by the court of first instance of general jurisdiction of the Syunik region. Based on the verdict, the prosecutor filed five lawsuits with the Anti-Corruption Court demanding that the auctions held on April 17, 18 and 23, 2025, in relation to the specified land plots be declared invalid and that the consequences of invalidity be applied. The lawsuits were accepted for proceedings by the Anti-Corruption Court, and measures to secure the claim were applied.
