ArmInfo. During a meeting with the Co-Chairs of the Armenian Assembly of America, Anthony Barsamian and Carolyn Mugar, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of the programs implemented by the Assembly for the development of the country.
As reported by the press service of the President of Armenia, the head of state noted that he is well aware of the activities of the Assembly, especially in providing objective information on the situation in Armenia and the region to the American and international community. The President also highly appreciated the work of the Assembly, which addresses pan-Armenian issues, aims to enhance Armenian-American cooperation and seeks to increase Armenia's role in both regional and international arenas.
Views were exchanged on the organization of the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Armenia in 2026. In this vein, the Assembly Co-Chairs presented details of various projects being implemented in the country with their support to the President.
