ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Annita Demetriou.
As reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Pashinyan welcomed Demetriou's visit to Armenia, emphasizing that Cyprus is a friendly country to Armenia, with which deep historical, cultural and value ties have been formed. In this context, the Prime Minister stressed the importance enhancing bilateral political dialogue and inter-parliamentary cooperation. Annita Demetriou expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and warm attitude, reaffirming Cyprus' support for Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic reforms.
During the meeting, several issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus were discussed, including the development of economic ties, investment opportunities, and the expansion of multi-sectoral cooperation. The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues on the regional and international agenda, touching upon developments of common interest and opportunities for cooperation. Views were exchanged on developments related to the Armenia- Azerbaijan peace process, and in this context the importance of establishing peace and maintaining stability in the South Caucasus was emphasized.
