Despite all the difficulties, Armenia is committed to establishing peace in the South Caucasus, as stated by the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ararat Mirzoyan during a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, Anita Demetriou, touching upon issues on the regional agenda.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan and Demetriou discussed the opening of resident embassies in Yerevan and Nicosia and expressed confidence that through joint efforts cooperation can be expanded in new areas of mutual interest. Both parties mutually emphasized the importance of cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus in deepening the partnership between Armenia and the European Union. Mirzoyan stressed that the best implementation of the existing instruments and the strong support of member states in this direction are of great importance in terms of deepening Armenia-EU cooperation.
