ArmInfo. The opening ceremony of the first temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Belarus, the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, took place in Minsk. Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, as well as the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, took part in the event.
The Embassy of Belarus in Armenia issued a congratulatory message in connection with the opening of the temple: "The Embassy of Belarus congratulates the Armenian people on the consecration and official opening of the first temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Belarus, the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Minsk!" It is noted that the solemn consecration ceremony on May 18, 2025 was attended by the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, as well as many high-ranking officials from Armenia and Belarus.
"We are confident that this significant event will allow us to think even more about faith, spiritual cleansing and the importance of jointly protecting traditional Christian values. In all turbulent times, religion has been an unshakable moral guide in the struggle of our fraternal peoples for a just cause!" the statement continues.
