Patriarch of Armenian Catholic Church meets with  newly elected Pope

ArmInfo.  Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Church Raphael Petros XXI met with the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. During the meeting, the Patriarch presented the Pope with a mosaic depicting the Virgin Mary. Mashtots Zakhteryan, the Vicar of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchal Institute in Zmmar,  shared this information on his Facebook page. He  was also part of  the delegation representing the Armenian Catholic Church.

On May 12-14, 2025, the Jubillee of the Eastern Catholic Churches  took place in Rome.  Believers from 23 Churches took part, including  members of the Armenian Catholic Church. On May 12, the Divine  Liturgy was celebrated in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore in  Rome with  Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, clergy from the Eastern  Churches, and ambassadors of Armenia to the Holy See and Italy in  attendance.
