ArmInfo. The events of November 9, 2020 are considered by the Investigative Committee of Armenia as an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order, as stated by the head of the department, Artur Poghosyan, in the National Assembly of Armenia on May 12, in response to a question from the NA deputy from the ruling Civil Contract faction, Andranik Kocharyan, who raised issues related to the cases of the events of October 27, 1999, March 1, 2008 and the attempted assassination of former NA speaker and current RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Regarding the case of March 1, 2008, Poghosyan noted that, on instructions from the RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, an investigative group has been formed in the Anti-Corruption Committee with the participation of the Investigative Committee representatives. All of the above cases, as the head of the committee assured, are a priority for the agency. Once a week, they are discussed in detail at the meetings of the working group. "In any case, the Investigative Committee is carrying out active investigative actions in the case of November 9, 2020, and the results will be visible in the near future," said Artur Poghosyan, refusing to provide data on the case of October 27, 199, citing their confidential nature. "I expect that all of these cases will have tangible results in the future, as the public and the people have certain expectations," the head of the Investigative Committee emphasized.
