ArmInfo. It is now possible to order license plates and apply for vehicle registration or re-registration online. The initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at a regular meeting on May 8.
As explained by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, the project aims to fully digitalize the process of buying and selling vehicles, creating a deed of gift for a car, registering or re- registering ownership rights, as well as lease agreements. It also includes the option to obtain an electronic registration certificate without replacing license plates, with the new plates being sent by mail in case of a replacement. These regulations, if adopted, will take effect in September 2025.
