ArmInfo. Vice-chairman of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan summoned RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to a public discussion on issues related to the negotiation process on Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Nikol, stop the hysteria of a spoiled teenager offering the former presidents an unrealized fantasy like "let's have a debate". The former presidents should have been talked to and consulted before the 44-day war, not persecuted, arrested and harassed at that time. You should have met the former leaders of Armenia during the 44-day war, when they, putting aside all interpersonal and political differences, were ready to meet with a person like you, even for the sake of Artsakh, for the sake of Armenia, for the sake of the Motherland. Now it's too late, too late. For all three presidents, you are a political leper, and there is nothing disgusting about it. You are spoiled from head to toe, not to be shaken. It is a shame to communicate with you. I am ashamed to stand next to you. It is a shame to have a leader like you," Ashotyan wrote on his Facebook page.
He noted that no one will satisfy the authorities' whim to debate with former presidents. "Keep shouting, tearing your shirt, cursing, getting angry, threatening and foaming at the mouth. What you are talking about is not worth discussing. Even medieval knightly duels and noble duels implied equality of the parties - the right to challenge even to the death was a privilege, an honor that is not available to you, you do not deserve it. Now you will say, so what if you, Armen Ashotyan, whom I have been keeping in illegal detention for 2 years, are ready to debate with me? Let me repeat, Nikol. I am not the president, but I am strong enough to destroy you in essence. Come to the place of my detention with cameras and your bodyguards. You can bring Petros (TV presenter on PTA Petros Ghazaryan - ed.) with you. I just shaved, and I am in full shape. Weak?" - emphasized the vice-chairman of the RPA. Let us recall that the day before, speaking in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan again called upon the three Presidents of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan to hold public discussions regarding the negotiation process on Nagorno-Karabakh. "Let's discuss it," the head of government said.
