"We received a message that Aliyev will not come, unfortunately. They explained that he must take part in internal events dedicated to Heydar Aliyev," the Russian leader's aide said, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
According to him, Laos President Thongloun Sisoulith will also not be able to attend the Victory Parade due to illness. "The Laotian will not come due to illness - serious coronavirus. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will come instead," Ushakov clarified.
According to him, a total of 27 foreign leaders will arrive for the Victory Parade, with some of whom Vladimir Putin has already held separate meetings. On May 8, negotiations will be held with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who arrived in Russia on a four-day official visit. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to attend the Victory Parade in Moscow.
