A working meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (SEPA) between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union and the programs being implemented within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation.
As reported by the press service of the Prime Minister, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the Republic of Armenia, officials involved in the Armenia-EU partnership participated in the discussion.
Mher Grigoryan presented the work done carried our towards the implementation of the CEPA, the progress achieved, as well as the process of reforms being implemented in several sectors. In particular, reference was made to legislative reforms, improvement of the governance system, justice, human rights, economic competitiveness, environmental protection, and the digital sector. Issues related to the approved schedule for the implementation of the Agreement were discussed, and it was reported that positive results have already been recorded in certain areas. The promotion of the justice reform agenda, modernization of public administration tools, the fight against corruption and the introduction of digital solutions were presented as key examples of cooperation.
During the discussion, the strategic importance of the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was emphasized, noting that it is of key importance in the Armenia-European Union partnership. The Prime Minister gave instructions to the responsible agencies to consistently implement the obligations and programs stipulated by the Agreement, ensure the transparency of their implementation, as well as improve the process of raising public awareness about the progress and results. At the end of the discussion, the results were summed up and the roadmap for further steps was clarified.
