ArmInfo. The accusations against the Russian Embassy of alleged involvement in the unrest in the Nor-Nork prefecture are seen as an attempt to resolve domestic political issues using external factors.
Similarly, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the accusations made by the prefect of Nor-Nork Tigran, Ter-Margaryan, that the events were orchestrated by the Russian side because of his visit to Bucha last year. <I can hardly imagine how the idea that riots occurred in some prefecture of Armenia with alleged involvement of the Russian embassy was fabricated. I then have a counter-question to everyone: who is behind spreading this story to Russia - do they have any facts to support the claim that the Russian embassy was involved in this prefecture?>, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry asked. She noted that the topic of Russia is a heated issue in the world, and, therefore, those who lack other arguments to engage their citizens with interesting long-term, promising ideas, often resort to speculating on this topic.
Noting that similar attacks have been made against Russia in the past, which later turned out to be false, Zakharova reiterated that these actions are merely attempts to justify their political steps. <In fact, this may prove that <the Brussels guidelines> are starting to be applied in Armenia>, she said. Additionally, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry regretfully noted that this doesn't create a favorable background for upcoming high-level bilateral contacts.
