ArmInfo. Yerevan is not unique in its amount of precipitation, but rather in its city authorities' inability to manage crises. This is how lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan commented on the latest collapse caused by rain in Yerevan.
"Imagine for a moment what will happen to our beloved Yerevan if heavy rains do not stop within 2-3 days," the lawyer added.
It should be noted that following a short rain in the city, social media platforms were flooded with videos showing the aftermath of the collapse caused by the precipitation. The network is full of shots where city roads resemble the canals of Venice. Citizens posted photos and videos of water pouring into public transportation. Additionally, the city was stuck in 10-point traffic jams. It is noteworthy that such situations during rainy weather have become increasingly common in Yerevan. Initially, the municipal authorities tried to somehow justify the situation and shift responsibility to other structures, but now they have ceased to do even that. Everything has become a regular occurrence.
