Oppositionist: Alen Simonyan and this government are spies of   Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem

ArmInfo.  Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan and this government are spies of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, as stated by Seyran Ohanyan, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and head of the opposition faction "Armenia" in the National Assembly, to journalists on May 5, commenting on the statement of the Speaker of the National Assembly that the second President of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, is a spy of the Russian Federation and his  actions are aimed at eliminating the sovereignty of the Armenian  state. According to Ohanyan, when the current authorities of Armenia,  in the context of joint actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan, found  themselves under strong pressure, this is the loss of sovereignty.

He added that Robert Kocharyan noted in his statements that it was  the current authorities of the country, through their actions and  ill-considered statements created a situation where the Azerbaijani  authorities saw the emergence of a power in Armenia that exercises  inadequate governance, particularly in the  negotiation process on  Artsakh. Thus, the Armenian authorities incited a provocation and a  war. In fact, the MP continued, official Yerevan failed the potential  for negotiations that had been developing over the past 30 years. "In  2019, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan simply folded and put under  himself a document, which is better known as the "Lavrov Plan". All  this factors combined led Baku to consider resolving issues with  Yerevan through military means," the MP said. The former Defense  Minister believes that the Armenian forces, especially in   mountainous terrain, could have stopped the enemy's advance.
