The Republic Party believes external forces involved in Nor Nork  incident

ArmInfo. The political council of the Republic Party has issued a statement regarding the brutal beating of blogger Artur Chakhoyan by the prefect of Nor Nork.

"The Republic Party states that the incident in the Nor Nork  administrative district is a clearly planned and organized  provocation, the purpose of which is not just to target the head of  the administrative district, but to challenge the independence and  sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia. We condemn all forms of  violence and provocations and believe that democracy must be  protected through legal means and, if necessary, through force. It is  obvious that certain forces are trying to form a consensus minus one  in the Yerevan City Hall, periodically involving in provocations the  political force that initiated the process of joining the EU,  condemned the war against Ukraine, opposed the Union State and  considers the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia an absolute  value. The Republic Party also states that the most defenseless  person in Armenia has become a civil servant who is subjected to  invasions by various Russian bloggers and persons posing as "public  activists" not only in the workplace, but also in  family and  personal life. 

This is completely incompatible with the protection of human rights.  Add to this the fact that they are under the scrutiny of  anti-corruption and oversight bodies, and you get a picture of the  collapse of the state system. 

We believe that what happened is a step against statehood, directed  from well-known centers against Armenia's stance in the EU. Law  enforcement agencies have serious work to do in this direction. If  they had perceived yesterday's incident as a report of a crime and  invited the head of the Nor Nork administrative district and the  person posing as an activist for questioning to find out whether what  happened was corruption or slander, today's events would not have  happened. Otherwise, such processes will have no end and will become  a pattern, and if they continue, there is no guarantee that next time  permissiveness will not lead to serious consequences. The Republic  Party believes that the protection of democratic values should be the  responsibility of both the state and society. Since its  establishment, the party has stood in defense of the sovereignty and  statehood of the Republic of Armenia and will give an adequate  response to any processes and provocations directed from outside and  inside," the party's statement reads.
