ArmInfo. As of April 30, a total of 96,900 applications for ID cards have been received, with 81,900 already printed, as stated by Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan during a government meeting on April 30.
The Minister clarified that these numbers refer to applications that have been logged in the system. Additionally, 54,261 citizens are currently in line to submit their documents. This means that about 151,000 people have either received their identification card or are waiting to receive it, as highlighted by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Sargsyan also mentioned that about 64,000 ID cards were issued in 2023, and 161,000 people received the document in 2024. To expedite the printing process, the department has obtained additional equipment, allowing for the production of approximately 2,000 cards per day.
