Discussion of the project on the sovereign territory of Armenia  without involving the Armenian side indicates the aggressive strategy  of Ankara and Baku - expert

Speaking at a recent meeting of the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor in Baku,  Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced plans to supply electricity produced in Azerbaijan to Turkey through the territory of Nakhchivan and then on to Europe. In fact, this statement hints at the idea of the so-called "Zangezur  Corridor" as an already implemented project. Vahe Davtyan, the  President of the Institute of Energy Security, wrote on Facebook page.

He pointed out another noteworthy event that aligns perfectly with  the logic of the current events. We are talking about the recently  signed Azerbaijani-Chinese declaration on strategic partnership. The  latter implies the implementation of several infrastructure projects  between Baku and Beijing  to expand the geography of the "One Belt,  One Road" initiative. The expert recalled that right after the 44-day  war in Artsakh, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev repeatedly tried  to "sell" the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" project to China as a  means to diversify the Europe-Caucasus-Asia logistics route.
