ArmInfo. The alternative socio-political movement "Together" has issued a statement on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
"The pain of our 1.5 million canonized victims of the Turkish yataghan and the eternal loss of Western Armenia have been compounded by the complete occupation of Artsakh and the genocidal deportation of Armenians by the criminal Aliyev regime. The serious issues of 150 thousand displaced persons from Artsakh, the issues of releasing Armenian hostages subjected to torture and abuse in Baku prisons have been exacerbated by the reckless and treacherous policies of the current Armenian authorities," the statement says. The movement added that the Armenian authorities, instead of addressing current issues, are focused on dividing Armenians, and promoting denial and betrayal as a state "ideology", which includes false pacifism and calls for unconditional submission to the enemy. At the same time, the movement believes that the Armenian people, who survived the genocide at the crossroads of history, were able to survive solely on the pillars of national identity, thanks to "Hay Dat", their struggle for independent statehood and memory.
"The page of the Artsakh issue settlement will not be closed until justice is restored - the full realization of the right of Artsakh Armenians to self-determination and the safe return of our compatriots to Artsakh. Together, we will prove the inevitability of punishment for criminals and the absence of a statute of limitations for crimes," the statement says.
