Hayk Mamijanyan:  The outcome of Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation  process  is due to Pashinyan`s lack of red lines

ArmInfo.  It is now necessary  to try a different approach - to involve international mediators, guarantors of the negotiation process, transform the logic of the negotiations, etc. The head of the faction, Hayk  Mamijanyan, stated this during a briefing in Parliament on April 23,  commenting on the current negotiation process between Armenia and  Azerbaijan and its results.

Additionally, Mamijanyan assured that his opinion is not politically  biased,  and to  confirm this,  he does not mention a specific  country or international organization that could take on the role of  a mediator.  According to the MP, the mediator should meet at least  two minimum requirements - have the willingness to get involved in  this process and be authoritative, so that both sides want to accept  these mediation services, as well as have a presence in the region.  This, as Mamijanyan noted, will lead to better results than the  current negotiation process.  He ruled out the possibility of Turkey  participating as a mediator in the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani  relations, noting that  for Nikol Pashinyan, on the contrary, this  option is acceptable and even welcomed.  Specifically, he mentioned  the phone conversations  between the US Secretary of State and  Pashinyan, and then with the  Turkish Foreign Minister. Following the  last telephone conversation, Mamijanyan, referring to media reports,  noted that the US Secretary of State offered Turkey to assist the  United States in establishing peace in the South Caucasus. said the  leader of the "I Have Honor" faction.

He also pointed out  that Azerbaijan's goals haven't changed. Step by  step, by weakening the vigilance of citizens and the country,  Pashinyan, in his opinion, will fulfill all the demands put forward  by Azerbaijan.    Mamijanyan  noted.  The MP did not rule out that the Azerbaijani side may resort  to aggression against the civilian population of Armenia, causing  public tension, which Pashinyan will use  to legitimize another  concession.
