ArmInfo. The V Armenian qualifying round of the Moscow International Competition of Young Performers of Russian Romance "Romansiada" will be held at 19:00 on April 27 at the Tatyana Hayrapetyan Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the competition organizers, the jubilee qualifying round - "Armenian Romansiada" will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to young talents aged 17 to 26. The competition will be held in two stages with live piano accompaniment. In the first stage, the participants perform a romance of a classical composer and a romance of another genre - salon, gypsy, actor's or other, and in the second stage, the contestants will perform a romance of a modern composer and a national romance.
The competition will end with a gala concert and an award ceremony. The winner will have the right to represent Armenia in the final of the International Competition "Romansiada" in Moscow, on one of the most prestigious vocal stages, where new names of romance are discovered.
As noted by the executive director of the Educational and Cultural Charitable Foundation "Our Future" Vahram Karapetyan, the goal of the competition is to preserve, popularize and develop the art of romance as a unique and multifaceted phenomenon of musical culture. "The competition is aimed at continuing and continuing the traditions of Russian and Armenian romance performance, finding and supporting talented young artists, promoting the development of modern romance creativity, as well as strengthening the cultural and moral values of Armenian society," Karapetyan explained.
The Armenian selection round of the International Competition of Young Performers "Romansiada" has been held since 2020 on the initiative of the president of the charitable foundation for the preservation of the art of Russian romance "Romansiada", artistic director of the competition, Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia Galina Preobrazhenskaya and executive director of the "Our Future" foundation Vahram Karapetyan. The competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and the Armenian music community.
