ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Feridun Sinirlioglu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), who is in Armenia as part of a regional visit.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the OSCE Secretary General and noted that it is a good opportunity to discuss the agenda of bilateral cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of active dialogue with the OSCE and expressed hope for effective cooperation.
Feridun Sinirlioglu noted that the South Caucasus region is of strategic importance for the OSCE and the organization will continue to contribute to the promotion of the peace agenda. The OSCE Secretary General welcomed the efforts being made in this direction to ensure regional peace and stability.
In this context, the interlocutors expressed hope for the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as possible. Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon Armenia's positions in the process of signing the peace agreement, emphasizing that the peace agenda is a priority for the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
In turn, Feridun Sinirlioglu noted that there are great opportunities for achieving peace in the region and they must be realized.
The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
