ArmInfo. The Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) has called on the international community, as well as diplomatic and cultural circles, to clearly assess and condemn Azerbaijan's attempts to falsify the history and culture of the Armenian people.
As recalled by the press service of the office of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, on April 8, 2025, an exhibition entitled "Western Azerbaijan: In Our Cultural Memory," was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Poland in Warsaw. The statement emphasizes that this event has become another manifestation of Azerbaijan's ongoing campaign of falsification and propaganda. It reflects Azerbaijan's territorial claims toward Armenia and its attempts to appropriate the centuries-old spiritual and cultural heritage of the Armenian people.
Such unacceptable initiatives, according to the statement, not only fail to promote peace in the region but also undermine efforts to foster an environment of solidarity and peaceful coexistence among peoples. "Azerbaijan's efforts to rewrite history and portray Armenian cities and villages, sacred sites and historical- cultural monuments located in Armenia and Artsakh as "Azerbaijani" or "Albanian" are deeply objectionable and must be unequivocally condemned. Culture must serve as a bridge between nations, not a tool for political manipulation or opportunism," the AAC concluded.
