ArmInfo. President of the Republic of Artsakh Samvel Shahramanyan calls for an investigation into the issue of returning the loot. He made this statement on April 18 during a meeting with protesters who had gathered outside the permanent representative office of Artsakh in Armenia. It should be noted that the protesters are demanding the return of $467 million, that were allocated to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic from Armenia's state budget, but were then appropriated by 48 families.
During the meeting with protesters, Samvel Shahramanyan stated that he had already testified several times to the investigative bodies of Armenia on this issue, moreover, law enforcement agencies were given electronic media of the Investment Fund. Shahhramyan assured that the investigative bodies have all the information about every dram spent. "If the current action truly aims to return the stolen funds, then I am all for it," the head of the NKR said, calling on those gathered to increase public pressure on law enforcement agencies to resolve the situation. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of resolving the issue in a civilized manner, rather than through street violence. Shahhramyan suggested that the protesters form a group of 10 people for a separate meeting with him.
