ArmInfo. UNESCO has established a prize for girls' and women's education awarded to individuals, institutions or non- governmental organizations whose programs and initiatives, operating for at least two years, have a long-term impact on the education of women and girls.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MONKS) of Armenia, this prize is aimed at achieving Sustainable Development goals 4 and 5: ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all and achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
The Ministry noted that each country has the right to nominate up to three individuals for this award. Applications can be submitted exclusively through the Permanent Delegation of Armenia to UNESCO.
