ArmInfo. The empty rhetoric of the ruling party in the country and the display of exaggerated courage are not evidence of strength, but rather a reflection of fear and awareness of the approaching hour of reckoning. This was stated by former Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanyan, touching upon the behavior and statements of the current government headed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
In this vein, Oskanyan recalled that recently, representatives of the current government, both in the National Assembly and outside it, have not experienced a shortage of statements. On the contrary, according to the former minister, the more tragic the consequences of their policies for the Armenian people become, the louder their voices, tone and behavior. In this regard, the former Foreign Minister asked himself: does the ruling force in the country believe that after all the losses and concessions to the enemy that occurred during its rule, it will be able to avoid punishment? In this vein, Oskanyan recalled that it was under the current government that the Armenian people suffered thousands of victims, Artsakh was surrendered, and the territories of Armenia were ceded.
"When you watch the theatrical performances of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his entourage, it is difficult not to ask yourself: do they really believe that they can cause thousands of victims, devastate and surrender Artsakh, cede territories to Armenia, destroy the national spirit, abuse state funds, hold on to power by force and violate the Constitution, and then simply leave and continue living a normal life? Do they really think that they can wash the blood off their hands and hide the real facts of their incapacity with empty speeches about courage? If they really believe this, then they are not only cynical, but also deeply mistaken," Oskanyan said. At the same time, he emphasized that attempts to improve the public image, staged speeches and empty rhetoric of the Armenian authorities are not signs of confidence or conviction, but manifestations of fear. The former Foreign Minister expressed his conviction that the current government, together with Nikol Pashinyan, realizes the unforgivability of their actions and is therefore afraid of the coming trial.
"They do not look like people who confidently stand their ground, believing that history will justify them. Rather, they resemble those who move restlessly, knowing deep down about their guilt - before their people and before the course of Armenian history. No suit of invincibility can protect them from the verdict of truth or the justice that this truth requires," Oskanyan concluded.
