ArmInfo. RA Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Dadunts met with representatives of the Council of Europe (CoE), led by Schnutz Durr, the Head of the Programming Department of the Secretariat's Directorate of Program Co-ordination, to discuss constitutional reforms and the potential for organizing discussions with CoE support. As reported by the press service of the Ministry, both parties acknowledged the importance of effective interaction with the Venice Commission regarding the reforms carried out in the country. The Deputy Minister mentioned recent talks with the Commission about revising property alienation legislation to prioritize public interests.
The meeting also covered the potential for cooperation in revising administrative offenses and administrative proceedings legislation, organizing the "Arbitration Week" event and supporting the community of mediators. Dadunts commended the current cooperation with CoE, highlighting achievements in implementing ECHR decisions, mediator retraining and other areas. At the end of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and agreed to discuss ongoing joint efforts. The meeting was also attended by Lilit Daneghyan, Deputy Head of the Division of Cooperation Programs on Justice and Human Rights of the CoE, and Maxime Longangue, Head of the CoE office in Armenia.
