ArmInfo.Armenia and Lithuania signed the " Action plan for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia for 2025-2026". The action plan was signed by the Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aram Hovhannisyan, and Chief Commissioner of the Lithuanian Police Arunas Paulauskas.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, the signing of the document took place on April 14 in Yerevan as part of a meeting between the Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan and the Lithuanian delegation led by the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladislav Kondratovich. Sargsyan highlighted the importance of the "Support to Law Enforcement and Security Reforms in Armenia" program, funded by the European Union and implemented by Lithuania and Latvia, within the framework of which financial investments exceed 2 million euros. Sargsyan also touched upon the work carried out within the framework of program components in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and subordinate services.
In turn, Vladislav Kondratovich noted the effectiveness of the existing cooperation, highlighting the existing cooperation in both the law enforcement sector and in migration and civil service areas. The parties also touched upon several issues of mutual interest, specifically, visa liberalization, border management, police work and rescue services. At the end of the meeting, Sargsyan and Kondratovich reaffirmed their willingness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
