ArmInfo. Today the rights of the people of Artsakh are being violated, and tomorrow it could be the entire population of Armenia. This was stated by Saida Poghosyan, the chairperson of the public organization "In the Footsteps of Ancestors," at a rally outside the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia on April 14.
The protesters gathered at the Prosecutor General's Office to present evidence of ongoing propaganda of hatred against the people of Artsakh and to demand that the authorities and responsible bodies take measures to stop it. Saida Poghosyan noted that they have collected evidence of multiple cases of hatred against the people of Artsakh and intend to submit a report to the Prosecutor General's Office. According to her, the employees of this supervisory body and the Armenian authorities do not fulfill their duties to prevent such cases. In turn, Tatevik Khachatryan, a member of the Artsakh Rights Protection Council, pointed out that the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has failed to take action against individuals spreading hateful statements. During the rally, the president of the public organization "Revival of Artsakh," Anastas Israelyan, also voiced his concerns about the spread of Artsakhphobia. He expressed his conviction that the dissemination of such statements is intended to divide society and emphasized that the Prosecutor General's Office is obliged, first of all, to hold accountable those who sow discord and spread hatred in society.
