Indian Parliament Vice Speaker Harivansh Narayan Singh, during a meeting with Armenian Parliament Vice Speaker Hakob Arshakyan in Tashkent, highlighted the importance of taking steps aimed to establish an India-Armenia friendship group, to enhance parliamentary ties and create new prospects for collaboration.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Parliament, in this regard, Arshakyan highly appreciated the effective collaboration between the parliaments of the two countries and stressed Armenia's interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with India in various fields. Hakob Arshakyan also presented the process of peaceful settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and acquainted the Indian delegation with the government's "Crossroads of Peace" project. In turn, the Indian delegation members expressed their support for the project and highlighted India's active backing for peace agenda between the countries. According to the source, at the end of the meeting, Arshakyan invited his Indian counterpart to visit Armenia.
