ArmInfo. During the active protection stage of the rights of forcibly displaced residents of Artsakh, old tricks are resurfacing in the information space, aimed at splitting the Artsakh people and diverting their attention from the fight for their rights.
As explained by the press service of the Artsakh Infocenter, these manipulations involve issues of possible corruption, robberies and other negative phenomena that have occurred in Artsakh. "For this purpose, some so-called , distinguished by their destructive and divisive actions in Artsakh, are also used. Their goal is to split society and prevent the people of Artsakh from forming a united front in defense of their rights," the Artsakh Infocenter explained. The statement also noted that on November 8, 2023, in response to public demand and information about apparent crimes circulating on social media, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan appealed to the Prosecutor General of Armenia with a request to take effective measures and give a legal assessment of this situation.
According to this request, as specified by the Artsakh Infocenter, criminal cases were initiated in law enforcement agencies, the Investigative and Anti-Corruption Committees of Armenia. As part of these cases, the electronic servers of the Artsakh Investment Fund were confiscated and the requested information was provided. It was also noted that Samvel Shahramanyan was interrogated as a witness in the above-mentioned cases. "We once again appeal to the relevant bodies in Armenia, especially the law enforcement system, to take concrete steps to identify and hold accountable those responsible for these crimes. We also urge the residents of Artsakh not to swayed by information provocations, to maintain solidarity, to show prudence and to work together to restore their violated rights within the framework of Armenian legislation," the NKR Infocenter concluded.
