ArmInfo.  Below is a statement of the Sweden- Armenia Friendship Group in the Swedish Riksdag regarding Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan:

We, the undersigned members of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group in  the Swedish Riksdag, warmly welcome the conclusion of the draft  "Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between  the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan". This  agreement marks a significant and hopeful milestone toward peaceful  coexistence and long-term stability in the South Caucasus.

We commend the Republic of Armenia for its steadfast commitment to  diplomacy and regional cooperation throughout the negotiation  process. Armenia has shown leadership and a genuine will to secure a  future where coexistence and collaboration serve as the foundation  for security and prosperity in the region.

We now look forward to the Republic of Azerbaijan demonstrating the  same political will by ratifying the agreement. This would be a  crucial step in turning a historic opportunity into a lasting peace  for both nations and for the broader region.
