ArmInfo. Armenia will open a resident embassy in the Sultanate of Oman. The corresponding decision was made on April 10 at a meeting of the Armenian government.
The project developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia envisages the establishment of an embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Sultanate of Oman with a residence in Muscat.
The rationale for the project states that relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf have been developing dynamically in recent years. There is activity in terms of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, as well as ties in the educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres

It is noted that the opening of the embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Sultanate of Oman will contribute to strengthening the warm political dialogue, trade and economic ties between Armenia and Oman, increasing tourist flows, mutual trade turnover, including transit. This will also contribute to the growth of mutual recognition between the citizens and societies of the two countries and will become an impetus for strengthening ties between Armenia and a number of countries in East Africa and the Indian Ocean, based on the historical and cultural ties of these countries with Oman.
