ArmInfo. Only Azerbaijan will benefit from the split in the opposition in Armenia. This was written on his Facebook page by Artak Zakaryan, a member of the Executive Committee of the Republican Party.
According to him, according to numerous published surveys and sociological studies, many ordinary and decent citizens of Armenia honestly admit that they made a mistake in 2018. Many succumbed to promises of a better future and unwittingly became participants in the destructive seizure of power.
"No one can blame ordinary, common citizens, because just as they were naive and honest in their desires in 2018, they sincerely repent and regret what happened today. And how should we treat those who supported Nikol in 2018 and considered him an instrument to deny Serzh Sargsyan? Were they really so gullible that they thought that the Western Turkish color revolutionary would then give them power, or share power with someone? Nikol will surrender Artsakh, the territories of Armenia, thousands of victims, the military-political leadership of Artsakh, national interests, but he will not voluntarily give up power to anyone," the politician noted.
He added that today the situation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has worsened so much that both external forces that supported him and internal political circles that welcomed his rise to power are turning away from him.
"This is where the mechanics of separation began. This is an understandable desire from a political and election point of view, but before separating from anyone, they understand that they first need to separate from Nikol. And for this, they decided to simply pretend to be naive and, with their eyes wide open, ask the question: "Who brought Nikol?" It would be logical if the political forces and individuals who publicly supported and welcomed Nikolism honestly shared the heavy burden of their own mistakes. But since supporting Nikol is now considered a grave sin, they decided to distort reality and, going against common sense, are trying to attribute their sins to Serzh Sargsyan and the Republican Party. Is this true? Of course not. In the same way, one can say that tigers live at the North Pole. One can say that sparrows hibernate in winter, they can also say that the capital of Armenia is Vedi. No matter how much they say, obviously false statements will not become true. And if they really want to remove Nikol, then they "This false and senseless nonsense should be stopped. Everyone knows that no force, no person can achieve a change of power on their own. Try to separate from Nikol without splitting the opposition potential. Otherwise, only Azerbaijan will benefit from this," wrote Artak Zakaryan.
