Armenia remains committed to strengthening peace and stability in the  South Caucasus - Hakob Arshakyan

ArmInfo. On the sidelines of the 150th Assembly of the Inter- Parliamentary Union in Tashkent, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan met with the Secretary General of the Union, Martin Chungong.

As reported by the press service of the National Assembly, during the  meeting, the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly presented regional  developments to the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary  Union, including the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He  highly appreciated Martin Chungong's efforts in promoting dialogue  between Armenia and Azerbaijan.  The Secretary General of the Union  expressed support for the peace process between Armenia and  Azerbaijan and stated that the Inter-Parliamentary Union will make  efforts to ensure progress on this matter.  The interlocutors  discussed issues related to ensuring regional peace, including  Armenia's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative.
