ArmInfo. Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, met with the head of the Japanese delegation Seki Yoshihiro.
As reported by the press service of the National Assembly, during the meeting, the Vice-Speaker emphasized that Japan is one of Armenia's important partners, and Yerevan is interested in deepening multipolar cooperation, including within the framework of inter-parliamentary relations. The Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the significance of economic cooperation. He touched upon the JAPAN 2025 exhibition and Armenia's participation in Osaka EXPO, which will create a new opportunity to strengthen business ties. Arshakyan stated that the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies will officially open in Japan on June 1, expressing confidence that it will serve to train thousands of Japanese youth and breathe new life into the cooperation between the two countries in the field of education. Seki Yoshihiro stressed the importance of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed willingness to assist in providing assistance to Armenians displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Hakob Arshakyan provided detailed information on regional issues and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, and at the end of the meeting invited his colleague to Armenia.
