ArmInfo. Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan will create a trilateral cooperation format at the level of parliamentary speakers. Such an agreement was reached during a meeting between the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and his Turkish counterpart Numan Kurtulmush, Georgia's First Channel reports with reference to the parliament's press service.
The agreement to create the format was reached in the context of discussing an issue related to the further development of parliamentary relations.
According to the report, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey congratulated Shalva Papuashvili on his re-election as Chairman of the Parliament and noted that "the will of the people is above all, everyone must respect the election results, which should become the basis for future development." Numan Kurtulmush invited Shalva Papuashvili to Turkey.
The meeting took place within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Tashkent (IPU), the capital of Uzbekistan.
