Armenia, New Zealand reaffirm mutual interest in developing friendly  relations

ArmInfo.  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand to Armenia Mark Julian Trainor (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to  President of the Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan. This was reported by  the press service of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment  and expressed hope that his activities would contribute to the  development of cooperation between the two countries and deepen ties  in various fields. "Armenia highly values the friendly relations with  New Zealand, which are based on the shared values of democracy, human  rights and the rule of law," the President of the Republic of Armenia  noted.

In turn, Mark Julian Trainor expressed gratitude for the warm  welcome.  The meeting involved discussions on effective collaboration  on various international platforms. It was noted that mutual support  would contribute to more efficient protection of the interests of  both states.  During the conversation, the potential for developing a  political dialogue was discussed, highlighting the significance of  interdepartmental contacts in enhancing bilateral relations.

The interlocutors exchanged ideas on practical steps to bolster ties  between the business communities of the two countries. The  opportunities for expanding cooperation in  trade, economy,  initiatives to enhance the business climate and strategies to  identify new investment opportunities were discussed. Special  emphasis was placed on the significance of  initiatives to enhance  the  potential for cooperation in  high technology, science,  education and culture. The value of leveraging New Zealand's advanced  experience in various sectors of the economy, such as the mining  industry, was noted. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest and  willingness to foster friendly relations and broaden mutually  beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
