ArmInfo. The Migration and Citizenship Service of Armenia presented an electronic platform (migration.e-gov.am - ed.), aimed at streamlining the process of granting residence permits to foreigners.
According to the department's press service, this platform was presented during a discussion of a bill on amendments and additions to the Law of Armenia "On Foreigners", initiated by the Government of Armenia.
The platform will be used to issue various types of residence permits, including temporary, permanent, special, and those based on studies. Representatives from educational institutions and businesses had the opportunity to learn about with the key aspects of the platform, application procedures and the opportunities it offers. According to the source, the project is being implemented within the framework of the program "Enhancing Policy and Capacity for Effective Migration and Asylum Management Policies in Armenia," funded by the European Union in partnership with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
