Armenia, represented by the Pan-Armenian Federation of Film Producers (PAFFP), will have separate pavilions at the film market (Marche du Film) of the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. The festival will take place from May 13 to 21. This event became possible the Pan-Armenian Federation of Film Producers and the Gagik Tsarykyan Charitable Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation.
During a press conference on April 3, PAFFP founding member and film director Hovhannes Galstyan explained the memorandum aims to provide support for the sale and festival distribution of films by Armenian directors, the development of new films, finding partners for film production, strengthening connections between filmmakers from Armenia and the Diaspora, and promoting Armenia as a country with historical significance and as a new and amazing location for filming, travel and tourism.
