CE Armenia office presents Citizen in Uniform mobile application to  RA MOD 

ArmInfo. The Council of Europe Office in Yerevan donated the mobile application "Citizen in Uniform" to Armenia, developed by its order. The platform for its management,  according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic  of Armenia dated April 3, is assigned to the Ministry of Defense of  the Republic.

As stated in the explanatory note to the document, within the  framework of the Council of Europe program "Promoting Human Rights in  the Armed Forces of Armenia", the mobile application "Citizen in  Uniform" was developed by order of the Council of Europe Office in  Yerevan, which was launched on 16.01.2025 by the head of the Council  of Europe Office in Yerevan. The head of the CoE Office in Yerevan  proposed to use the application to the Defense Ministry and the  Ombudsman's Office of the Republic of Armenia in order to help  protect the rights of conscripts and military personnel, inform them  of their rights and responsibilities.

The launch of the application will be carried out by the relevant  staff of the Center for the Organization of Human Rights and  Integrity of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Office of the  Human Rights Defender, which will not lead to the attraction of  additional financial and human resources.
