ArmInfo. On April 2, a regular meeting of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council was held chaired by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The agenda included a presentation of progress mad in corruption prevention efforts.
According to the press service of the RA government, Acting Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission Mariam Galstyan provided updates on the implementation of pilot methods for assessing and managing corruption risks, legislative regulations. The report highlighted efforts work carried out to control the current financial activities of parties, recent legislative changes made to ensure the integrity of public officials and civil servants. Additionally, details on the results of declarations , the analysis of declarations, notification processes and other related matters were shared. Mariam Galstyan also presented the work carried out in digitalization, including the electronic filing system for declarations, financial reporting by parties, and the digital
platform for anti-corruption education.
Discussions were held on the fore-mentioned issues, during which council members exchanged views on the continuous development of the commission's work mechanisms, improving the integrity system, enhancing the declaration system and other topics. The Prime Minister emphasized that the political will is not enough for the implementation of the anti- corruption policy, the development of institutions is also crucial. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted that the issue is broader than just the commission for the prevention of corruption and should be viewed in the context of the judicial system and the socio-psychological sphere. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing the anti-corruption education policy and ensuring timely strategic decisions to increase anti- corruption perception in government agencies. "There is definitely a need for this, because it is very important to update people's awareness of corruption and its various manifestations every time and at regular intervals. In this regard, I believe it is important for us to communicate legislative changes to departments, officials and
individuals affected by it," Nikol Pashinyan said, emphasizing the need for this communication to be ongoing.
