ArmInfo. On April 2, Sargis Khandanyan, the Chairman of the RA National Assembly Committee on Foreign Relations met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cyprus to the Republic of Armenia Michael Mavros.
As reported by the NA press service, Sargis Khandanyan welcomed the Ambassador and highlighted the continuous growth of relations with Cyprus built on friendship. He considered the opening of embassies in both countries a significant milestone. The Chairman of the Committee added that high-level relations have been established not only bilaterally but also on multilateral parliamentary and diplomatic platforms. Michael Mavros, in turn, noted that the relations between the two countries are historical and friendly.
The parties emphasized the importance of mutual visits and enhancing collaborative efforts across multiple sectors. During the meeting, issues related to the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Armenian-Turkish relations, and prospects for resolving the Cyprus problem were also discussed.
