ArmInfo. Armenia is an important part of European culture and is known worldwide for its culture, as well as the talent and creativity of its people. This was stated by the EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, during an event dedicated to the closing of the Creative Accelerator Program: Katapult. The Ambassador noted that this program was designed to nurture talent, innovation and creativity. With its completion, cooperation between Armenia and the EU to enhance cultural ties will persist and grow stronger.
According to the source, various educational seminars, the ArtExpo exhibition and sale were organized within the framework of Katapult over three years. The "Artbox" subprogram was implemented in partnership with "Creative Armenia," and a database of beneficiaries of the sphere was developed. Additionally, a report assessing the needs and an economic analysis of the cultural and creative ecosystem of the Republic of Armenia was prepared. Numerous memorandums of cooperation were signed, leading to the creation of fab labs (small workshops for independent and individual production of products, parts, etc.) in Yerevan and Gyumri.
Over the course of three years, many cultural organizations in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia received grants through the Artbox subprogram. These grants were aimed at implementing innovative programs and ideas, technical re-equipment, etc. It should be noted that the program was launched in 2022 by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia in cooperation with the EU mission in Armenia.
