At the same time, in his microblog on X (Twitter), Mirzoyan, speaking about the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, wrote that the dynamic dialogue between Armenia and Kazakhstan is based on a high interest in closer economic cooperation and integration into regional transit routes.
Summing up the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, Mirzoyan emphasized that the bilateral agenda has significantly expanded in the context of closer cooperation and strategic partnership.
"There is undoubtedly a close relationship between economic development and the full realization of transit potential. In this context, we discussed with Minister Nurtleu ways to effectively use transport and logistics routes, which is of great importance for both countries," the Armenian Foreign Minister wrote.
At the same time, he highly appreciated the unequivocal support expressed by Kazakhstan, including at the presidential level, for the Armenian government's "Crossroads of the World" project.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan in 2024 decreased by 23.6%, amounting to $84.1 million. In particular, exports decreased by 33.2% to $54.1 million, against the background of a 0.9% decrease in imports to $30 million.
