Head of  Union of Armenians of Russia  denied entry into Armenia

ArmInfo. The head of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, was detained at the Yerevan Zvartnots airport, and is currently  banned from entering the country. This information was reported by former Artsakh Ombudsman and human rights activist Ruben Melikyan.

"Minutes earlier I received information that authorities are currently banning Ara Abrahamyan's entry into Armenia. Mr. Abrahamyan is currently at  Zvartnots airport.  As far as I know, Mr. Abrahamyan also holds citizenship of the Republic of Armenia. In these circumstances, the ban on entry is a direct violation of Part 3 of Article 40 of the Constitution of Armenia," the human rights activist wrote.
