ArmInfo. Russia and Armenia continue their multifaceted political dialogue, the leaders of the two countries are in constant contact, and the Prime Minister of Armenia has accepted an invitation to visit Moscow for the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a weekly briefing on March 27.
The diplomat mentioned that constructive negotiations took place between the foreign ministers of Russia and Armenia, and consultations of the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries were held as well. "Intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary mechanisms are working, active interdepartmental cooperation is underway, a round table was held on the problems of the agro-industrial complex. There are initiatives in the cultural, educational and humanitarian spheres. It is planned that next month the Armenian delegation will visit the Sirius educational center to speed up the opening of the Russian educational center for gifted children in Jermuk," Zakharova added. According to her, economic ties between the two countries are also developing.
Zakharova noted that Russia and Armenia also interact in other international platforms, particularly the UN. According to her, the approaches of the two countries in the global agenda coincide or are close. "Yerevan traditionally supports and becomes a co-author of most Russian resolutions. But there are issues that have not been resolved yet or require their resolution in order not to damage bilateral relations," the diplomat concluded and expressed hope that the parties will be able to find solutions to unresolved issues.
