Mother Armenia office in Gyumri raided 

ArmInfo. Searches are underway in the office of the opposition bloc "Mother Armenia" in Gyumri. This was written on his Facebook page by Gevork Stepanyan, a member of the  Yerevan Council of Elders from the "Mother Armenia" bloc.

"Currently, the criminal police in full force is filming another  tragicomedy series in Gyumri. Searches have been underway since early  morning and pressure has been exerted on members of the bloc. In  anticipation of the rally expected today, the spring tension around  the ruling party "Civil Contract" has somewhat subsided," Stepanyan  wrote.

In turn, member of the bloc Hovhannes Khudoyan noted that the actions  of the country's authorities were expected. "They are using all the  prohibited tools to provide their unsuccessful candidate with  competitive advantages through their unsuccessful campaign. It all  started with the illegal postponement of the election day in Gyumri  for two months so that the ruling party could use the city's  capabilities to defend its position using administrative resources.  There are numerous violations of the Electoral Code. Now we have  reached the point of using criminal procedural tools. Such an attempt  was made back in the 2021 national elections, when the head of one of  the headquarters, who was actively working, was completely  groundlessly detained on the eve of the elections and released two  days later without charges. I am collecting data on all officials  involved in this process. There will be something to talk about  later," the representative of the Mother Armenia bloc noted.

Early elections to the City Council of Elders are scheduled to be  held in Gyumri on March 30.
