ArmInfo. It is necessary to accurately and thoroughly assess any situation, as stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on March 26 during the government hour in the National Assembly, while responding to a question from Zaruhi Batoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract faction. The deputy, speaking about the shelling of Armenian territory, questioned whether these actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces could impede the peace process between the two states.
In response, Pashinyan noted that Azerbaijan's actions along the borders of Armenia could be seen as pressure and an information attack on the Armenian side. The Armenian Defense Ministry has consistently refuted the Azerbaijani side's statements, calling on the neighboring side to provide evidence for their detailed consideration and investigation. Pashinyan stated that this request was sent through diplomatic channels, which were used to report incidents of shelling.
"The investigation is being carried out with honesty and seriousness in order to fully understand the situation in each specific case," the RA Prime Minister emphasized. He added that both parties have recognized each other's territorial integrity. Conducting the border delimitation process in accordance with the 1991 Almaty Declaration and mutual recognition of the regulations for the work of border delimitation commissions is a clear confirmation of this. The Prime Minister noted that in the pursuit of a peace treaty, the parties are using both public platforms and diplomatic channels. He cautioned against rushing to conclusions and advised waiting for further developments.
