As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the award was presented to the director following the screening of the film in the Sistine Hall of the Vatican Apostolic Library.
The screening of "Sigma" is a historic event for Armenian cinema, as the film was recognized with the prestigious Vatican award for its contributions to culture, making Aram Manukyan the first Armenian director to receive such an award. The film's co-producer is Marcello Zeppi, the President and Artistic Director of the Montecatini International Film Festival (MISFF), which also received the award.
